Eighty-odd islands stacked with volcanic jungle and fringed by water so clear it reads more as colour theory than ocean — teal shading to cobalt shading to the particular green of a submerged reef at noon. The light here is physical, humid, alive, settling on black sand and nakamal thatch with the same unhurried intensity.
