The Pacific here is the colour of shallow-water glass over white sand, then drops suddenly into a blue so deep it reads almost black, and the islands sit in that contrast like something placed with great care. Life moves at a pace shaped by tide and feast day, and the light in the late afternoon is warm and unhurried, turning even corrugated iron into something quietly beautiful.
